Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Brucellosis among Farmers Rearing Cattle in Belagavi Taluka - A One Year Cross-sectional Study

Introduction: Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease which almost invariably transmitted by direct or indirect contact with infected animals their products. It also known as “Malta fever”, an important human in many parts of the world especially south and central Asia, Mediterranean countries Europe, north east Africa, America yet it often unrecognized frequently goes unreported. More than 500,000 new cases occur annually uneven global distribution. In India, bovine widespread recent time becomes more prevalent, perhaps, due to increased trade rapid movement livestock. Epidemiological evidence reveals that, recorded all states but scenario differs between present different species including cattle, goats, buffalo, yaks, camels, horses, pig.
